Post-Production and Delivery
Our Post-Production Team works endlessly to provide you with best film of your wedding. We try to make each video distinct from the rest, nothing generic.
This philosophy leads us to long excruciating hours, days and weeks of editing the video. I am not offering any excuses, it’s just the way it is.
If you’re looking for a quick and speedy turnaround, I may not be what you are looking for. We normally advise our client around 3 - 6 months for the full version to be delivered but majority of the time its delivered way before its due time.
The Short Cinema Film Highlight will be finish between 3 days - 2 weeks from the wedding date. This will be then delivered to you via a link to your social media page and/or link direct to your email address. The same highlight will be added to your main dvd package.
Wedding Film VS Traditional Edit
A Wedding Film is a video of the day that has been edited to fit within a time frame that is no less than 15 minutes and no longer than 30 minutes.
The Wedding Film is different than the Traditional Wedding Video in several ways. The wedding videographer films the pre-ceremony events, the entire ceremony, the formal photo shoot, and the traditional reception events. The difference between a Wedding Film and a Traditional Wedding Video occurs during the editing process.
The Traditional Wedding Video includes all of the footage, usually in chronological order. The Wedding Film does not include all of the footage and is not in chronological order. The full speech will be given in its full length as another chapter in the dvd so you dont miss anything that was said.
The thread of the Wedding Film is audio commentary. The videographer or editor uses audio from the interviews of the bride and groom, commentary from the ceremony, the toasts, and possibly commentary from the wedding guests.
Do you work per hour and what time do you start?
We do not work on an hourly basis. We normally require 3 hours with the bride preparation and around 2 hours with the groom preparation. The way we measure our starting time is from the commencement of the ceremony and calculate it backwards, excluding travel time. For example, if the ceremony starts at 12pm then we will start our day between 8:30am - 9am). We would love to be at the ceremony at least 45 minutes before it start so we'll have enough time to film the detail of the venue, setup audio equipment and capture the guests greeting the groom.
We then capture the day from there until the end of formalities (refer to our Wedding Film page for definition of formalities)
What is a Same Day Edit and what's involve
The Same Day Edit or “SDE” is the centerpiece of our service.
It a short film produced from the footage of the wedding shot earlier in the day, usually incorporating footage from pre-ceremony, ceremony, photo location, post-ceremony and sometimes pre-reception (if time permits), which is then showed at the reception as a recap of the wedding. It is usually a one song duration and beautifully edited of the key moments that took place earlier on the day.
We do not supply the projector and screen. Usually the reception venue will have this ready for you upon request.
Who picks the music?
Majority of the time we do. We have been doing this for more a decade, I kinda already get the feel for what kind of music suits the events which unfolded. More importantly, we pay for and license the music of films that we put online, Licensing (1) supports and respects the artists who make the music (2) validates our own creation and work of art without the shroud of intellectual property rights infringement (3) makes me feel good about myself as an artist. If you have any ideas though, I’m always ready to listen. We normally source our music through Musicbed. Just advise us if you find a particular song so we can licence it for you.
If you have us for a Wedding Film, we have to choose the music tracks as this will enhance the film to its maximum potential. If you opted for the Traditional style, we have a checklist that we provide for you to complete regarding music tracks.
